Quilling Flowers

  Quilling is  a soothing hobby , its always exciting to see paper strips turn into beautiful flowers, leaves with little effort and glue! I had been wanting to make flowers with fluffy centers and last night  I managed to do it after much research on the internet quilling tutorials. Right now I am happy with the much desired flower centers which are done with the double fringing technique.

Quilled T-lite holders

Quilled flowers  t-lite candle holders seem to be a popular combo though paper and candles are hard to imagine together! I have tried to keep the t-lite candle on one side , this way the arrangement can later be used on its own without the candle.
These can be made easily, cut mount board into 3 " circles, paint if required ,stick  quilled flowers , place t-lite candle and its done.
Coasters can be used instead of mount board as base.
CAUTION- Keep these pretty arrangements away from kids, pets, curtains , wind !!!!

Quilled Cards

These delicious quilled cards are the result of a mix-up in placing order for craft materials. To cut the story short, I decided to use the opportunity to buy real card making paper in nice colors.The paper is Fabriano ,
80gms , acid free and really perfect for cards. The quilled flowers were  made in my free time and  were put to good use last night for this project.
I have made cards earlier  but find these better because of the good quality paper and finishing.
The sentiment can be hand written and the cards  used for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthdays and whatever!

Quilled Bouquet

This flower bouquet goes to Take a Quill Pills First Anniversary challenge to Piyu who has done a fabulous job by bringing quilling into focus.
The recipe calls for some colorful quilling , one has to use fringing technique, tight coils and more than 5 colors !
I had a great time making this piece of quilling, I have used more than recommended 5 colors , there is red, blue,white, yellow , green and pink.
This is a framing project joining the queue of others waiting to be framed.

Floral fantasy

At last I have got the quilling strips by courier ! Now I can select colors and quill to my hearts desire . Its fascinating to see simple strips of paper turn into beautiful, delicate flowers and leaves .
Marquis ,bunny ears and scrolls have been used to create this floral piece which I hope get framed soon.
