Rakhi symbolises the love between brothers and sisters in our country. Sisters tie rakhis or decorative silken threads on the wrists of their brothers and are given gifts in return. The brother also promises to look after his sister forever and the sister prays for his welfare . Its a lovely thought !
Beautiful multicolor rakhis are sold in the market in a wide range of designs and colors . I have made a quilled flower rakhi card for the festival.
